Dat in het huidige ’t Groen Kwartier tot het jaar 2006 het Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (HISK) gehuisvest was, is nog in het geheugen van vele Antwerpenaren gegrift. Het enige overblijvende restant van de oude HISK site, het poortgebouw, bood ruimte aan een tentoonstelling met de titel “Little HISK”.
De expositie presenteerde werk van 5 gewezen en 5 huidige HISK studenten en werd samengesteld door Ulrike Lindmayr (LLS 387), Paul Poelmans (CAPS), Eva Steynen (Deviation(s)), Bart Vanderbiesen (Base-Alpha Gallery) en Sofie Van de Velde (Gallery Sofie Van de Velde).

Until 2006 the Higher Institute for Fine Arts (HISK) occupied a site in Antwerp’s ‘Groen Kwartier’, a fact well remembered by many of those who live in the city.
The last remnant of the old HISK, the gatehouse of the former Military Hospital, was the venue for “Little HISK”, an exhibition that recalls the times before the institute was moved from Antwerp to Ghent.
The exhibition presented works by five former and five current HISK students and was curated by Paul Poelmans (CAPS), Eva Steynen (Deviation (s)), Bart Vanderbiesen (Base Alpha Gallery), Sofie Van de Velde (Gallery Sofie Van de Velde) and Ulrike Lindmayr (LLS 387).
