LLS Paleis Extra Muros: Sarah Smolders “Doppelgänger”

Invited by Whitehouse Gallery to propose an exhibition in the Project Space, LLS Paleis chose Sarah Smolders (°1988, Antwerp), who created the site-specific work Doppelgänger. Sarah Smolders uses painting as a language to enter into a dialogue with specific places. Through site-specific actions and gestures, crossing the boundary between matter, architecture and painterly representations, she explores how time, movement, past and memory can express themselves spatially.
A co-production between Sarah Smolders, LLS Paleis and Whitehouse Gallery. LLS Paleis is supported by the Flemish government.
